Well respected and well established freight forwarder - Basildon - seek to add to their ocean import team. The ideal recruit will bring a minimum of 2 years ocean import experience - and have a working knowledge of process and documentation. You will be familiar with completing bill of lading, issuing corrections to manifests, issuing invoices, liaising with shipping lines, and chasing shipping instructions.
This is a full time opportunity - but the Company recognise that some of their team enjoy the flexibility of remote working. So this role is offered on a part remote basis. 3 days on site - 2 days at home ideally.
Your energy and friendly nature will compliment this fast paced team of 7 operators - and your desire to work in a welcoming and inclusive culture will be met amongst a wider team of over 35 like minded people.
This company enjoy low staff turnover and client loyalty - quality is key in everything they do, so an import operator who takes pride in their work, service levels and attention to detail is key.
Continent exposure to the Far East, Middle East, USA or Canada is desirable, as is exposure to the Cargowise software system. You will be file handling from landing stage to door - and liaising heavily with the pre arrivals and customs teams to streamline process. Ideally you will bring LCL experience, but full load operations experience will also be considered.
