Seeking to recruit an addition to their Operations team, the new operator will bring a minimum of 2 years' ocean import/ export experience. Handling cargo from & to Far East & Middle East - the role of Multi-Modal Operator will manage file handling from origin to destination by air sea and road. Internal customs teams handle the clearance, and you will use your communication skills to liaise with pre arrivals team and customs for a smooth service origin to door.
Your day to day will include loading jobs to the database, assisting in quotations, tenders and overseas enquiries, working with global agents and approved vendors, and processing all key import and export documentation. Knowledge of Cross Trade will be a distinct advantage
You will be fully proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) Knowledge of Destin8 and CNS is desirable - but the company uses its own bespoke database, which is user friendly and state of the art - to make your daily tasks as easy as possible.
You will bring a steadfast passion for service delivery and quality in your contributions - the team handle high volumes in a fast paced and vibrant environment. Commitment is key, as is an eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
