Well respected & admirable forwarder in Basildon who are known for their staff longevity & service levels seek to recruit an experienced ocean operator clerk to join their team.

Now offering a global reach with locations based in USA, Asia, Africa and Canada offering solutions via Air, Ocean and road, as well as added services on clearance, consolidation, warehousing and auto-shippers.

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all information submitted is clear and concise with minimal error.
Working in a fast paced and time critical role providing clear and concise operational instruction to client, hauliers and port health officials. You must possess some experience to an ocean import, export or cross-trade operations role. This Company are willing to consider candidates with base exposure in a similar role and are willing to train in areas to expand knowledge and capability.
Your day to day tasks will encompass:
• Completing House Bills of Lading
• Issue any corrections to the manifests
• Issuing Invoices
• Liaison with shipping lines
• Chasing shipping instructions
• Liaison with customers for necessary documentation required
• Inputting and updating data into the In-house system
• Sending emails
