Select Recruitment Specialist in Lincoln are working in partnership to appoint an experienced HR Advisor.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive HR service to managers and employees, supporting the Director of HR and the HR Business Partners, you will be involved in all aspects of HR operations including administrative services, recruitment, job analysis and employee relationship management, in addition to providing line managers with professional advice and guidance.

Job Description:

• Provide professional advice and guidance to managers and staff in relation to employee relations and management issues.

• To build and maintain positive and constructive working relationships within key internal stakeholders; including line managers and senior leaders across both the academic and support services, and key external stakeholders including; trade unions and recruitment agencies.

• Provide assistance and advice to managers in the implementation of the disciplinary, grievance, capability, and redundancy procedures. Support managers by attending formal meetings and drafting materials as appropriate.

• Deal with staff enquiries concerning, for example, the company's benefits package, annual leave, sickness absence, compassionate leave, maternity/paternity/adoption leave and contractual questions.

• Assist with the design and development of new and existing HR policies and procedures as identified in the rolling review of policies and changes in legislation.
• Manage all aspects of the recruitment, selection and on boarding processes including administration.

• Ensure contracts of employment are up to date and viable for the various roles.

• Manage the Hourly Paid Lecturer/External Examiners/Exam Invigilators process including supporting managers' to train employees on how to use the HR systems, issuing contracts and assisting employees with the HR system.

• Data input for starters, leavers, and changes of employment (job or salary changes).

• Monitoring the shared HR inbox and helpdesk, directing, and escalating where required.

• Reporting and analytics, including producing reports for committees and statutory returns.

• Sickness absence processing and reporting.

• Maintain HR records and the HR database observing the principles of the Data Protection Act and GDPR Guidelines where applicable.

• Advise managers on roles, structures, job descriptions and job evaluation. Benchmark roles, arrange evaluation panels, record outcomes, and produce reports as required.

• Manage e-learning and employee benefits online platforms.

• Minute taking at HR meetings and committees.

Person Specification:

• CIDP Level 5 accredited or equivalent
• Analytical and critical thinking skills are also essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work with both the Senior Leadership team and non-management team
• Demonstrate an understanding of relevant employment legislation and policy writing,

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of Health & Wellbeing initiatives and strategy
• Ability to drive talent resourcing and recruitment campaigns

Working are: Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm.
