Join my leading client’s team as a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor!
Are you passionate about ensuring safety and environmental compliance? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to health, safety, and environmental management? If so, I have the perfect opportunity for you!
As a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor, you will play a crucial role in advising on regional operational compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation. You will ensure that current procedures meet policy and legislative requirements and monitor compliance through regular inspections and audits. Your key responsibilities will include conducting site safety inspections and LIMS audits, providing documented reports, and ensuring that any non-conformances are rectified. Additionally, you will offer technical knowledge during adjudication and pre-start meetings to ensure best practice adherence.
You will be responsible for evaluating new products and procedures to reduce risks and conducting thorough incident investigations. Upon notification of a serious incident, you will attend the site location, carry out an investigation, and document the findings. Promoting a positive Health, Safety, and Environmental culture within the business will be a key part of your role. You will act as a key interface for policy at the Regional Office and sites, providing assistance in understanding Health, Safety, and Environmental policies. Sharing best practices and information proactively with colleagues and external parties is also an essential aspect of this role.
In serving my client’s customers, you will represent the company positively during client presentations, answering their questions and promoting their safety culture. You will also liaise with external organisations such as HSE, Local Authorities, and Fire Authorities regarding regional work activities or incidents.
Delivering quality is vital in this role. You will ensure that regional training plans are followed and stay updated on current legislation and best practices. You will issue up-to-date policies and ensure adherence to LIMS. Comprehensive training is provided, including regional induction, diversity training, NEBOSH Construction, IEMA, and various health and safety awareness courses.
In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, strong communication skills, and the ability to produce project documentation and reports are essential in this role! You should be adept at promoting a safety culture and have the technical knowledge to produce detailed reports.
