We are recruiting for a Director of IT for a well established college in London.

Duties and responsibilities:

The portfolio and opportunities within this role focus on enabling the College to undergo a digital technology and information transformation across the organisation and support the use of technology and data to help achieve the Strategic Plan. This position will provide strategic support to the Executive Director Corporate Services to ensure that the digital technology and data strategies evolve in line with the College's far reaching ambitions and will work in partnership with the Executive Management Team and Senior Leadership Team to ensure that targets are effectively planned, monitored and delivered.

General Duties and Responsibilities

1.To contribute to the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the College
2.Ensure the responsibilities of the post are carried out in a way that reflects the standards, vision and values of the college
3.Deliver on key performance indicators across the College, aiming to deliver continuous improvement
4.Promote the College with employers, sector bodies, schools, colleges and the local community, developing effective partnerships with employers, the funding agencies and other representative bodies
5.To proactively promote Safeguarding practice, EDI, Health and Safety and the well-being of all our students and staff
6.To complete and remain up to date with Mandatory Training
7.To participate in the College Professional Development and Review (PDR) Scheme

Key responsibilities:

1.To develop and deliver strategic leadership for digital technology and data using an integrated approach.

2.To ensure that agreed strategies are well led and governed effectively with regular reports to the Executive Management Team, Senior Leadership Team and where appropriate the Board.

3.To drive the adoption and integration of digital technology and data as a core aspect of the College operations including developing corporate policies.

4.To integrate IT systems, hardware and software across the College to ensure that the user experience is positive and maximises the impact of technology

5.Drive a process of systems optimisation and integration to enhance user experience and improve productivity

6.To ensure the effective delivery of customer oriented, efficient and secure IT services

7.To ensure that the College IT Infrastructure, systems, services and devices are flexible, modern, secure and have capacity to deliver the transformative requirements of the College.

8.To take the lead in ensuring that the College can operate a data-driven improvement culture where all staff are able to utilise timely, accurate analytics and data to allow them to make decisions which improve student outcomes.

9.To provide effective leadership and support to the teams responsible for delivery within the remit of the IT portfolio i.e. IT Infrastructure, IT Support, Print Services.

10.To manage the budgets and take the lead on ensuring that long term financial plans for IT and Information Systems revenue and capital are developed, presented and approved as part of the College financial planning cycle

11.To contribute to the strategic leadership of the College and shaping the vision

12.As a member of the College Leadership Team, to take collective responsibility with colleagues for delivering strategic objectives
