Seeking to recruit an addition to their Customs team, the new assistant will bring a minimum of 6 months' exposure to customs declarations/ entries - either in a fully operational or a support capacity - or at the very least, some experience working in the forwarding sector in a data driven and operationally supportive role.
Your day to day will involve declaring VAT/ Duty on incoming goods worldwide to ensure they clear border controls in a time effective, efficient & fully compliant manner. This company are prepared to develop and train the right candidate, who can bring some base knowledge and exposure to customs clearance protocol & systems - within the logistics sector.
A basic understanding of the current CHIEF system is needed, ideally exposure to the new CDS software (customs declaration service) is ideal. You will ideally be familiar with basic 'Home Use' entries - and understand the complexities of declaring goods on a groupage basis - both incoming and outgoing.
You will bring a steadfast passion for service delivery and quality in your contributions - the team handle high volumes in a fast paced and vibrant environment. Commitment is key, as is an eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
