Duties & Responsibilities
As a water hygiene labourer, your daily tasks will include:
- Manual excavation and removal of shingle materials from reservoir areas
- Safe transportation of excavated materials to designated site locations
- Backfilling operations and site restoration following repair works
- Systematic progression through multiple work sections across the site
- Strict compliance with contamination control and water hygiene protocols
- Maintaining health and safety standards throughout all tasks
Essential Requirements for this role, you must have:
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- Valid EUSR Water Hygiene Certification (mandatory for water sector work)
- Physical fitness and manual handling experience for excavation work
- Knowledge of contamination control procedures in water environments
- Strong health and safety awareness on construction sites
- Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to long-term employment
- Comfortable working in full 6-point PPE (ARC-resistant PPE supplied by client)
