Our client is a very successful Insurance sector business who have achieved significant growth over the last 5 years. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their team.

As a Credit Controller, you will report into the Credit Control Manager working within finance and operations team to support cash collection and credit control processes across the business. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, allocating payments, and ensuring overdue balances are followed up promptly, while supporting the Credit Control Manager in delivering against cash and debt targets.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Assist the Credit Control Manager with day-to-day credit control activities across multiple business areas.
  • Allocate premium receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on overdue premiums and un-allocated cash, liaising with brokers and internal teams to resolve queries.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of outstanding debt and cash allocations.
  • Support the preparation of aged debt and un-allocated cash reports.
  • Assist in monthly bank reconciliations for underwriting accounts across multiple currencies.
  • Help identify and escalate data quality issues that impact the credit control process.
  • Provide support on ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives led by the Credit Control Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with the offshore team and internal departments (Finance, Operations) to ensure smooth operations.
The successful candidate will have previous credit control or accounts receivable experience from within the Insurance sector and be looking for the next challenge in their career.
