My client are on a mission to provide exceptional service while helping their customers navigate the complexities of procurement and solutions. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving their continued growth.
What You'll Do:
- Source your own leads within their Ideal Customer Profile target industries.
- Arrange and attend meetings with prospective customers, supported by the senior team members.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers, working closely with the team.
- Collaborate with the team to negotiate contracts and find the right solutions.
- Identify upselling opportunities within their existing customer portfolio.
- Contribute to the development of new service streams and ideas.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Achieve new business and sustainability targets and KPIs.
- Identify prospects and conduct lead generation.
- Confidently communicate with prospects and customers through calls and presentations.
- Convert leads into new business for procurement and sustainability.
- Foster a culture of growth through sales across the organisation.
- Build long-term relationships with customers.
- Ensure a seamless customer journey from onboarding to contract signing.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and market trends.
- Utilise LinkedIn Sales Navigator effectively.
Who You Are:
- Highly motivated, target-driven, and customer-focused.
- Ideally, over 5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management to gain the higher salary banding, ideally within the energy sector, and selling into construction, property and/or Local authorities.
- Excellent communication skills with high levels of empathy.
- Passionate about finding solutions for customers.
- Experience in procurement and contract negotiation is beneficial but not essential.
