In this role, you will be the driving force behind our VAT & Accounts Team, overseeing and efficiently distributing their workload. Your experience with Sage, Xero accounting software, and Quickbooks knowledge will be put to good use as you take on the following responsibilities:
- Handling bookkeeping duties for our clients
- Expertly preparing and filing VAT returns
- Skillfully posting purchase and sales invoices to the accounting system
- Managing bank postings and reconciliations
- Posting payroll journals
- Diligently reconciling supplier statements
- Ensuring the accuracy of the debtors ledger
- Maintaining the accuracy of the Fixed Asset Registers
- Completing month-end procedures on the accounts software
- Logging into clients' accounting software, completing their bookkeeping, VAT Returns, and month-end procedures
- Efficiently preparing payment runs on behalf of clients
- Conducting nominal and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing management accounts, updating budgets, and liaising with clients on variances
- Ensuring that all deadlines are met
- Handling accounts preparation for companies, sole traders, and partnerships
