Join my client, an established managed service provider, as their Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer / Technical Lead. In this role, you will spearhead a team of 10 infrastructure engineers, providing crucial support to a diverse customer base predominantly on Azure-based infrastructures.
 
With the potential to progress into a Technical Director position, this role offers a clear path for career advancement.
 
As the Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in auditing customers' existing network infrastructures and designing innovative solutions to meet their evolving needs. You'll be at the forefront of standardising and enhancing customer infrastructures through regular reviews, ensuring optimum performance and security.
 
Your responsibilities will include leading and mentoring your team across all levels of support, from 1st to 3rd line. Additionally, you will drive continuous service improvement initiatives for software, hardware, services, and security offerings, guaranteeing the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
 
Key Experience:
The Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer will be responsible for
  • Standardising and improving customer infrastructure via regular reviews
  • Leading and mentoring a team of 10 infrastructures spanning, 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support
  • Developing a continual service improvement place for software, hardware, service, and security offerings
  • Project scoping, planning, budgeting, management, and delivery.
  • Acting as the most senior point of escalation within the team
  • Strong network infrastructure knowledge
  • Azure
  • 3rd / 4th line technical support
  • O365
  • Strong Windows Server, storage & virtualisation knowledge
  • Technical leadership for the provision of firewalls, switches, network security etc
  • Endpoint management - MS Intune
While experience in AWS, Prince 2 certification, or relevant Azure/cloud certifications would be advantageous, it's not essential for this role.
