New Business Development Manager - Manufacturing Sector
On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer specialising in cable harness solutions, Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), and precision plastics, I am recruiting for an experienced and driven New Business Development Manager to join their team.

This autonomous role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on business growth across three key manufacturing areas. You will be responsible for expanding their client base and increasing market presence in a competitive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new business opportunities through market research, networking, industry events, and direct outreach
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients across target sectors
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and customer needs
  • Contribute to sales strategy development and annual business planning
  • Deliver compelling presentations to potential clients that effectively communicate capabilities and value proposition
  • Collaborate with technical teams across production sites to develop accurate quotations that meet customer expectations
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts with new clients
  • Manage your own workload and schedule effectively
Requirements
  • Production/manufacturing industry experience is essential
  • Experience in cable harness, EMS, or plastics manufacturing is desirable but not essential
  • Proven track record in business development and sales, including lead generation and closing deals
  • Professional approach with excellent representation skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong networking capabilities within relevant industries
  • Valid driving license (travel to client sites is required)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
