We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced live-in couple to join a warm and welcoming family in a beautiful private estate setting. This is a unique role combining culinary excellence, high-standard housekeeping, and estate/household management.
The position is ideal for a versatile, hands-on couple who thrive on variety and enjoy being an integral part of a private household.
The Role
As a couple, you will work together to ensure the smooth running of the home and estate while delivering outstanding service to the family.
Chef Responsibilities (Partner 1)
- Preparing fresh, seasonal, high-quality meals for daily family dining and occasional entertaining.
- Creating varied menus, including healthy and vegetarian options.
- Supporting entertaining and assisting with events, both at the estate and occasionally when travelling with the family.
- All general housekeeping to a high standard — laundry, ironing, bed changing, deep cleans on a rota.
- Wardrobe management and care of specialist fabrics.
- Feeding and walking dogs, occasional care of cats, and watering plants when required.
- Assisting with entertaining and supporting the chef when needed.
- Overseeing property upkeep and liaising with contractors.
- Managing household bills, insurances, and coordinating car maintenance.
- Light estate tasks including pool care and garden oversight.
- Providing flexibility when the family host guests or dinner parties.
- Proven experience working together as a private household couple (chef/housekeeper or similar).
- High standards, attention to detail, and a proactive “can-do” approach.
- Discreet, professional, and reliable, with a friendly and supportive attitude.
- Comfortable around animals (the family has dogs and cats).
- Both partners must hold a full driving licence.
- Previous private household experience is essential.
- Salary package: £70,000 - £80,000 per couple, DOE.
