Hours: 39 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays
Overview
We are currently recruiting for an Installation Technician to join a growing team based in Thetford.
The role involves carrying out on-site installations, maintenance, and servicing of specialist access equipment, ensuring safe and effective solutions are provided for customers.
The position requires strong practical ability, problem-solving skills, and flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out on-site installations safely and efficiently, following set standards and specifications.
- Assemble and secure components using hand and power tools.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and building regulations.
- Provide customers with clear guidance on correct product use.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments when required.
- Work closely with supervisors and project teams to meet deadlines.
- Keep accurate job records, including photographs and customer sign-offs.
- Drive company vehicles to deliver equipment and materials to sites.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Previous experience in an installation, construction, or assembly role (preferred but not essential).
- Confident in the safe use of hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to varying site conditions.
- Good communication skills with both customers and colleagues.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow instructions.
- Full UK driving licence – essential.
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain) – advantageous.
- Solid understanding of health and safety, including manual handling.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks.
- Positive, professional, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Able to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
