Sous Chef


Due to internal progression, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef or experienced Junior Sous Chef to join the team at this popular fresh food gastropub located near Watford.

Do you have experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a similar environment, delivering great quality fresh food, and a desire to delight every guest?

Do you like to display your creative side through creating specials, and adding your input to seasonal menus?

Do you have the passion and drive to succeed, and to lead the brigade in the Head Chef’s absence, whilst ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety are maintained at all times?

If the answer is yes, yes, and yes, then we want to hear from you!

What we are looking for in the right Sous Chef:-

– Experience as a Sous Chef or a Junior Sous Chef in a fresh food gastropub or restaurant, or similar, with a minimum of 70/30 split of fresh/frozen.
– Leadership skills to train, develop, and motivate the brigade, working closely with the Head Chef.
– Full knowledge of all food safety legislation, including Due Diligence, HACCP, and Allergen compliance, and working to 5* EHO standard at all times.
– Level 3 Food Safety Qualification is preferred but can be worked towards.
