We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Operations Manager to join our operations team based at Bourne, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations of the site; ensuring Health, Safety, Environment and QA standards are met in line with site specific plans.

In addition the successful candidate will manage upper tier COMAH site, co-ordinate and deliver a high standard of distribution and customer service across crop protection and delivery of seed and fertiliser; while creating and maintaining a Great Place to Work culture.
Position Requirements

Duties will include:

• Taking action to break down silos and forge connections across the business whilst keeping the bigger picture in mind
• Motivating and creating a positive team environment
• Providing the team with clear direction in line with site plans
• Delegating appropriately to ensure leading at the right level
• Reviewing and developing training plans for your team using company resources (e.g. PDR, Open Calendar)
• Delivering effective people management whilst adhering to company policy and procedures
• Identifying and organising resources in order to deliver legal compliance with required product line standards (e.g. BASIS, COMAH)
• Monitoring performance against site SLA’s and KPI’s
• Compliance with relevant agencies (DVSA, FIAS,DGSA)
• Ensuring the site team achieves the company standards on safety and security audits
• Assisting ROM in setting annual site budgets and cap-ex plan
• Monitoring and maintaining quality and productivity at site
• Ensuring delivery against all site budgets
• Developing and encouraging the team to adopt a customer first mind set
• Ensuring all stocks are recorded, monitored and maintained to company standards

Knowledge and Experience
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally at all levels
• Able to work under pressure and work under deadlines whilst maintaining Company values
• Adapts quickly and successfully to accommodate changing business and customer needs, while providing a responsive customer focussed service.
• Full driving licence – essential
• IT literate with experience of using Microsoft office – essential
• Experience of managing P&L’s and CAPEX – essential
• Experience of managing and organising a multi-faceted operation – essential
• Experience of delivering high levels of customer service in a fast paced environment – essential
• Knowledge of BASIS – desirable
• Knowledge of COMAH – desirable
