Restaurant Supervisor – Outskirts of Ipswich – Must Drive

At Select Hospitality we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.

The Role
Fully responsible for the Front of House team within the F&B department. My client is looking for a ‘hands on’ manager who lives and breaths customer service and has Rosette experience. Leading and developing their team from the front, my client does ask for a flexible attitude towards working hours.

Due to the location you must have your own transport as there is no bus route.

To be based mainly out on the floor in Front of House areas working with the teams.
To carry out constant coaching with your F&B team, so they are up to date with working procedures, product knowledge and customer service levels. If you highlight a specific training need, deal with this issue either with the individual or in a team meeting.
Communicate with your staff at the start of every shift so they are aware of the business in hand and who is responsible for what.

Experience and Skills required
•Experience in similar role is extremely desirable as well as a strong C&B background to assist the potential Restaurant Manager in a smooth start to their life at the Hotel.

•Be familiar with the current AA and VB Common Standards and how they relate to 4 Star Hospitality and Service – ensuring all your teams are trained and consistently achieve these standards.

•To ensure that our customers are provided with a very efficient and professional service to all front of house areas. That all areas are well presented and manned accordingly to provide excellent hospitality and customer care. To lead by example and be an ambassador for the hotel when on duty and excellent role model for the staff.

•Ensure you are last to leave the building and handover to the night porter who must check the building is secure.

•Attend daily 10 o’clock briefing

•Attend the Thursday function meeting

•Be familiar with the Allergen data sheets, also ensuring that your team know where to find them

•Be aware of and ensure all your teams are aware of the FoH SOP’s

•Be familiar with Department Risk Assessments, Security Procedures and Fire Procedures ensuring all your team are equally familiar
