Purchasing Co-ordinator

Job Title: Buyer
Salary: £20,000 – £25,000 per annum
Hours: 38.25 (Monday-Thursday 8½ hours, Friday 4¼ hours)
Location: Lincoln
Employment Type: Permanent

This role will require a self-motivated individual willing to form part of a team to purchase all Company supplies except for those items (i.e. works order purchases) that fall under the responsibility of the Purchasing Manager.

You will be responsible for but not limited to; –

Purchase of goods and services* meeting the following requirements:
Delivered to the correct location and timescales
Meeting the required quality and specifications
Obtaining the optimum delivered price
Identifying new suppliers with particular reference to bulk purchasing
Maintaining obsolescence reviews for electronic products, ensuring time is given to minimise impact of component obsolescence by lifetime buy, or planned redesign.
Working with the Supply Manager to ensure the optimum levels of stock are held
Other administrative duties as required. Certain core duties will be identified according to business needs.

*Amongst other items, purchasing duties will include:
Purchasing of consumables
Negotiation and control of annual business contracts (e.g. utilities, IT contracts)
Building maintenance supplies and services and administrative support

Salary guide £20,000 – £25,000 dependant on experience.
