Purchasing Administrator

Our client based in Lincoln are looking for a Purchasing Administrator.

You will be a naturally enthusiastic individual who can administrate, collate and record all purchase orders and related activities acting as a primary contact for our suppliers. Day to day activities would be to complete data entry support activities in relation to all purchase orders and work to ensure that all purchase orders reflect the latest due dates and delays are expedited and escalated effectively.

The successful candidate will also aid and support the Product and Procurement Manager with various new product development tasks, including product researching, competitor analysis and benchmarking.

Requirements of the Role:

• Demonstrable experience in working with suppliers and purchasing;
• Excel – Good intermediate skills with the ability to sort, filter data, use of graphs and pivot tables and creation of formula.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To ensure all day to day purchase orders are placed in timely manner with correct prices to suppliers and managed through to delivery and invoice.

• Progressing purchase orders and reporting on supply issues to the Product and Procurement Manager
• Point of contact for accounts on supplier invoices, and assist in the supplier invoice approval process, aiding in invoice query resolution.
• Resolution of supplier delivery issues – a point of liaison for the warehouse in relation to delivery queries, and liaison with the supplier to resolve.
• To ensure accurate and timely records kept of all purchase orders and aid in production of departmental reporting
• Communicating stock availability & delivery information to the business and responding to any stock related enquiries.
• To aid and support the product & procurement manager with regards to new product developments, to include product researching and presenting of findings, analysing competitor offerings and benchmarking.
• Special project work as and when required
• Supporting Product & Procurement Manager where required and any ad-hoc projects that may arise.
