Project Manager

My client are a leading luxury brand – as a business they are all about the attention to detail with their products and offering that superb customer journey. They sell their products through their hugely successful E-commerce channel and also their experience stores, which are opening throughout the UK.
With their Head Office based in Norwich, production teams in China and Vietnam, and their current in-store retail teams, they have over 180 employees. The headquarters offer a stunning open planned space with natural light and break out areas that promote collaborative and happy team working.

It’s a very exciting time to get in with them – their growth is ambitious, they are taking the retail market by storm and in addition to a larger online product range and the planned opening of numerous stores, they are well on track to double their revenue and headcount over the next two to three years.

They now want to hire an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager to their growing Change Management Department, reporting to the Group Implementation Manager. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for helping grow this emerging department and building the profile of change management across the organisation.

What the Project Manager role will do:

The role will require working alongside various departments to instigate projects, produce the product documentation and project plan. Once a project is underway, the role will include administration of the project, as well as production of the relevant documentation and communication with the various stakeholders.

They are a small Change Management Team, with ambition to grow, so the role will involve degrees of hands on involvement in the day to day tasks of the project to ensure adherence to timings, with performance being gauged against achieving projects on time and within budget.

Projects will cover all aspects of the business, from very technical working alongside the IT team, to practical in terms of new premises, or staff engagement related in terms of events or new training regimes.

Although based at their Head Office from an administrative perspective, the role will require travel to their various sites, potential new sites and possibly overseas.

What they will require from You:

They really want to hire someone who is passionate about change in a measured and managed method. You will be single minded in your attention to detail, and ensuring the Objectives, Scope, Budget, Time Line and Resource are detailed at the outset of each project.

You will be a brilliant communicator, comfortable dealing with contractors, suppliers, customers and staff across all levels. You will be a natural problem solver, with a can-do attitude and ready to roll up your sleeves to get the job done when required. We need you to be super organised and a forward planner with a head for using technology to improve function capability.

As projects will be varied, they will need you to be ready to take on new challenges and flexible in your approach to each – and they want you to not be shy in coming forward with an opinion or suggestion if you think the end result or implementation can be improved.

They are a growing team, so want you to contribute to developing both the profile across the business and with their suppliers, as well as improving the processes used.

They would therefore love you to have a couple of the following:

• Prince II Foundation or equivalent
• Two years project management experience
• Experience within the retail sector
• Knowledge of MS Project or Smartsheet project management systems
• Knowledge of JIRA
• Experience / Knowledge of agile project management
