New Business Manager

My client are a leading global organisation and are now seeking a New Business Manager to join them! My client provides satellite communication solutions suitable for both land and maritime markets. These solutions include the provision of hardware, connectivity, bandwidth, network management, usage controls and other related applications and accessories, for example asset tracking.

This is a new business generation position. The role is to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities with new resellers of satellite communications equipment, airtime and services, primarily in Europe and the Near/Middle East.

The role is business to business, and will require regular travel visiting prospective customers, as well as attending industry events, making contact via telephone and using online tools such as Webinar to present the solutions, products, value adds and services available from the business.

This role may be fulfilled either working remotely or based in the Great Yarmouth Head Office. It will involve time spent in Great Yarmouth to attend Sales Meetings, training sessions and meetings with customers or management as required.

It is the responsibility of the New Business Manager to develop and deliver a new business sales strategy in conjunction with the Sales and Business Development Manager, to whom this role reports.

This is a challenging role, best suited to self-motivated, tenacious, methodical, highly enthusiastic and experienced satellite communications sales professionals that can demonstrate a proven track record in growing new business sales.

Responsible for:
•Developing a sales plan to meet the new business sales target
•Developing a qualified pipeline of new revenue
•Delivering sales of the company Value-Added Services
•Achieving the overall targets for sales and gross margin for the portfolio
•Developing strong relationships with customers in target sectors

Primary Duties:
•Prospecting for new potential customers and converting this into increased business
•Cold calling as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities, with clear closure plans
•Responsible for all aspect of the sales cycle from lead generation to customer payment
•Meet new potential customers by growing and leveraging your network, social media connections, and contacts
•Building and growing relationships with new potential customers
•Map decision makers and organisational structures within the customer organisations
•Identify opportunities for marketing and sales campaigns, and work with the marketing team to deliver them
•Using knowledge of the market and competitors, leverage the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
•Agreeing and achieving sales targets linked to commission
•Attend relevant industry exhibitions to target new potential customers
•Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM system

Skills:
•Demonstrable background in selling
•Ability to self-generate leads for building sales pipeline
•Strategic new account planning and acquisition
•Strong commercial acumen
•Excellent communication and numeracy skills
•Outstanding consultative sales skills and experience of longer sales cycles that typify a strategic sales process
•Strong IT literacy

Remuneration:
•Competitive Salary: Commensurate with experience.
•Commission scheme to be agreed.
