IT Support Technician

Our client based in Lincoln is currently looking for an IT Support Technician.

Requirements of the Role:

• Experience in an IT support environment including first line;
• Ability to support a wide range of desktop applications across Windows and Mac, primarily Microsoft products;
• Experience of MS server 2008 administration (Active Directory, Group policies, roaming profiles);
• Knowledge of Network principles (e.g. firewalls, switches, structured cabling, patch panels and TCP/IP);
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hardware across a variety of workstations;
• Understanding of security principles within an office IT environment;
• An understanding of VoIP system administration;

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Day to day support of the office IT and telecoms systems;
• Support and maintenance of servers and infrastructure to ensure they work effectively across the business;
• Provide IT helpdesk support:
o Setting up new users
o Moving and setting up work stations
o Password resets and account unlocking (through AD)
o Setting up and installing IT equipment in the office
o Troubleshooting system issues and resolving IT queries
• Maintaining antivirus and software security (ESET);
• Monitoring backup schedules and coordinate daily back up routines;
• Ensure high availability of all IT systems;
• Windows updates;
• Out-of-hours support;

Hours of work F/T 9am-5pm Monday – Friday
