HR Advisor

We are working with a local NHS trust to secure an experienced HR advisor to work within their existing team in Chelmsford.

Ideally applicants with NHS experience should apply, but our client is very keen to hear from applicants without this experience as well.

Main Duties of the HR assistant

• Provide professional HR advice and support on HR issues to line managers and other individuals
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies
• Participate in research, development and delivery of inhouse training
• Undertake developmental and operational project work
• Be the HR lead to defined geographical areas
• Participate as the HR representative at employee relations meetings/hearings
• Proactively manager sickness absence
• Advise managers on issues of employment legislation
• Participate in all aspects of the recruitment, vetting and selection process
• Be the HR lead to defined geographical areas

The HR Advisor role requires

• Graduate member of CIPD or equivalent level of experience
• Must demonstrate commitment to personal and career development
• Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and application of said legislation
• Able to liaise effectively with staff and managers
• Maintenance of confidential records
• Experience of supervising staff
• Experience in use of Hr systems
