Hotel Receptionist

We are are pleased to be working in partnership with this prestigious Hotel based in Peterborough.

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a Receptionist to provide a high standard of customer care to consistently meet the standard expected by their guests.

Responsibilities include – but not exhaustive of:

To receive all enquiries correctly and to take appropriate action where required.
To greet all guest on arrival with a friendly and efficient welcome.
To ensure all guests are offered the services on arrival as per the Front Office standard.
To provide information for guests on local places of interest.
To be aware of how to procure the services of Doctors, Dentist and that you do so at the request of the guest.
The operate the switchboard promptly, politely and efficiently when the business request it.
To receive guests valuables for safe keeping following the company procedures and to provide “written” confirmation of such requests.
To be aware of meetings and events being held in the Hotel on a weekly basis as per the event sheets.
To deal with all guests comments competently and reporting complaints to DM.
Ensure the correct procedure is carried out for any bookouts.

Invoicing and Payments

To ensure daily reports are correctly printed
To pre-allocate rooms following specifications from Room Sales, Housekeeping.
To check all pay-ins and report any discrepancies immediately
To adopt the proper procedure when dealing with debit/credit cards, cheques and foreign currently.
To ensure that the correct rates and changes are being quoted.

Hours: There is a shift pattern of 6.00 am to 2.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm
