Job Description: Health and Safety Specialist (Construction)
Place of Work: Corby
Reports to: The Managing Director

Main purpose of the role:
• Provide health and safety support and advice in the construction sector
• Travelling to construction sites (with nights away on occasions)
• Preparing project proposals

Key areas of responsibility:
• Developing and maintaining Health and Safety Policies
• Developing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Developing and maintaining Health and Safety Management Systems
• Carrying out construction site Health and Safety Inspections and Audits
• Attending pre-start meetings and design team meetings
• Providing CDM support and advice to Clients’ Designers and Contractors
• Preparing Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plans etc
• Completing third party accreditation applications (CHAS, Safecontractor etc.)
• Providing telephone and email support as required
• Investigating accidents and incidents

Extra information:
The successful candidate will need to be comfortable operating on large and small construction sites, and have a good understanding of practical interpretation and application of CDM 2015.
