Head Chef

At Select Hospitality Oxford we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a talented, 2AA rosette level Head Chef
A beautiful country inn situated in the Oxfordshire countryside, serving high quality fresh dishes to a 2AA Rosette standard.

The Role

Head Chef needed to join a team of talented chefs and take ownership of the kitchen. You will be passionate and creative in your cooking, ensuring the highest possible standard of food preparation and service are met. Working with only fresh produce to produce delicious dishes and a driven team, you will be key in pushing this already thriving business, even further.

The role will include (but not be limited to);

• Ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations
• Coaching and training the kitchen team to high standards, leading by example
• Effective stock control and management to minimise unnecessary wastage
• Ensuring you and the team are always up to date with the latest recipes, allergens, pre-orders etc…
• Ensuring the kitchen is a safe and hygienic place to work, with 5 star attention to detail
• Ensuring all policies and procedures are always followed
• Working alongside the company in forecasting, developing sales, menu creation, marketing, and budgeting
• Where appropriate, interacting with guests in a friendly and helpful way
• Meeting KPI’s set by the client

Experience and Skills required

• Must have worked to a Michelin star or 2AA Rosette standard before
• Minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Training on HACCP & COSHH systems.
• Creative and passionate about food.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Salary and Benefits

•My client is offering the successful Head Chef a salary of between £34,000 and £42,000 per year
•Fantastic working environment
•A chance to make your mark on a beautiful country pub kitchen.
Live-in can be arranged for the successful candidate, but due to the clients rural location, you must own your own transport.
