Job Title: Database Manager – Research Data
Salary: £30,000 – £39,000 depending on experience
Contract: 9 Months
This is a fantastic opportunity to join part of Cambridge’s oldest and world famous institution in conjunction with NHS. You will be based on the Addenbrooke’s site and joining a team that research into both common and rare diseases. Volunteers give biological samples and are then invited back depending on their genetic make-up or physical characteristics to take part in medical research.
Job Specifications:
• Working with clinical study teams to implement agreed data collections
• Implement clinical data sets and data plan requirements for research, their dissemination and release to clinicians.
• Manage, implement, test and assure the integrity of the clinical data sets and central coding dictionary used by the Department.
• Support to the activities linking other patient data with the CRF collected data sets.
• Develop, publicise and make freely available the clinical coding sets developed for the project.
• Be the lead clinical data support contact for queries and advice on use of OpenClinica.
• Maintain the eCRF and clinical coding catalogue.
About You:
• Ability to think logically and provide accurate descriptions of the clinical coding schemas.
• Experience supporting data services within a research environment using MySQL.
• Experience using SQL for data capture and querying.
• Experience of methods for user requirements capture and agile development methods.
• Good at prioritising.
• Knowledge of clinical coding using SNOMED-CY, ICD10 for medical research is desirable.
