Curriculum Manager

Our client, a high achieving and prestigious organisation is currently recruiting for a Curriculum Manager.

This is a pivotal role in supporting students with successfully applying to top universities across the world.

The Role

1 University selection and student counselling

– Assist students with their selection of universities and courses;
– Keep abreast of university courses, entry requirements, open days, application deadlines and admissions tests;
– Serve as a general resource for students, parents, and teaching faculty regarding admission criteria and college data;
– Have a thorough understanding of students’ university preferences and path so they are fully aware of the options available to them;
– Gain a thorough knowledge of the application processes of universities around the world;
– Provide guidance, resources and teaching tools to navigate the college search and application process;
– Maintain a strong working knowledge of colleges and universities, which includes making regular visits to colleges;
– Meet individually with student(s) and parents/to explore and identify appropriate university/college/course options;

2 University applications

– Identify and allocate students to mentors for admissions tests and interview preparation;
– Educate students on appropriate interviewing techniques, self-assessment tools, and application essay writing/personal statement techniques;
– Build and maintain relationships with university admissions professionals;
– Share information with students and families about college admissions and financial aid or scholarship possibilities;
– Guide students and others in understanding and utilizing UCAS/Naviance/or other worldwide systems, the college admission data management system;
– Liaise with student mentors and tracking performance on university admission tests.

3 Child protection, safeguarding and Health and Safety

– Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact;
– Maintain good order and discipline among the students and safeguard their health and safety both when they are on college premises and when they are engaged in authorised college trips or activities;
– Understand and uphold the Government’s statutory guidelines of ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ in accordance with the college’s policies and procedures.-

The Ideal Candidate

– Educated to degree level
– In depth knowledge of the UCAS process
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
– Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle a range of competing demands
– Excellent IT skills
– Able to prioritise and respond effectively to new challenges at short notice
– Highly organised approach to work

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or overseas equivalent

Please note the working hours are 1pm to 9.30pm Monday to Friday and occasional weekend work needed from time to time.
