Chef de Partie

At Select Appointments Oxford we are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie on behalf of our client, a prestigious organisation located near Oxford city centre.
The Role:

To help in the preparation, cooking and delivery of food made from fresh ingredients, to the highest standards in a clean, tidy and safe environment. The Chef de Partie will assist in the smooth running of the kitchen on a daily basis, contributing to a pleasant working atmosphere and taking direction from more senior members of the kitchen brigade.

Main responsibilities:
• To ensure the food is prepared to required standards checking for taste, presentation and quality.
• Producing a very high standard of dishes to a strict timeframe and following correct food hygiene standards.
• To assist in in completion of relevant paperwork reproduction and wastage sheets, cleaning records and maintaining HACCP control sheets.
• Monitor food deliveries, ensuring food quality and invoice check.
• Ensure the correct labelling of all foods, including correct date labelling and allergen labelling.
• Working as part of a team whilst leading an allocated section in the kitchen.

Experience and skills desired:

• Level 2 Food Safety certificate.
• NVQ Level 1 & 2 or equivalent work experience.
• Flexibility to work shifts.
• Passion about food and customer service.
• High standards and quality driven.
• Good understanding of all current compliance and regulations for COSHH, Food Hygiene, allergy legislation, Health & Safety, PPE, lone working & fire regulations.
• An enthusiastic team player with a self-motivated and confident approach.
• Have a great attention to detail.
• Work well under pressure.

Salary and Benefits:
This is a full time Chef de Partie role, working either 39 or 45 hours per week.

The salary offered is from £22,000 to £24,000 per annum (depending on experience) for a 39 hour working week, or alternatively the role could be offered at a salary of £25,000 to £27,000 per annum (depending on experience) for 45 hours per week.

Working hours are between 06:00 and 22:00, depending on allocated shift (early or late). No split shifts. Please note that the role involves working weekends and bank holidays.
