My client, a luxury independent hotel based in the Hertfordshire area are looking to recruit a talented Chef de Partie
A professional chef with the ideal experience and skill, will be brought in on a fantastic package of up to £21,000 PA + tips and bonuses.

Situated in 150 acres of countryside, the hotel is a very reputable venue in the area and the perfect option for a banqueting event, wedding ceremony or a romantic break away. As well it’s idyllic venue options and excellent accommodation facilities, the business is also known for it’s popular golf, leisure and health club.

My client is very highly ranked and recognised within the industry and offer a great team of support, and a talented brigade and workforce to learn from.
The Head Chef would be searching for individuals who can really get on board with the brigade, running various kitchen departments and be an asset to the team. The chefs will be assisting in various duties in a busy kitchen, looking after the breakfast, lunch and evening restaurant service, and also covering large events, weddings, buffets and their speciality afternoon teas as and when required. My client are very passionate about the delicious quality food they produce from their kitchen, and they also involve local, seasonal ingredients wherever possible which are personally grown on site by Head Chef and team.

As the Chef de Partie of this fabulous dining venue, you will need to be ready for a new challenge, have a passion in the kitchen, be a strong team player, and have great fresh food experience, ideally within a hotel background. You will also need to be able to deliver great quality food, freshness of ingredients, simply but with some flair.

Role Responsibilities:
• Be a calm, strong and organised leader of your kitchen brigade
• Work and cooperate with the Head Chef closely
• Have a creative influence on the menus, encouraging seasonal, local and fresh produce as much as possible
• Negotiate, organise and liaise with suppliers
• Motivate, train and build a talented team/ brigade
• Take pride in serving quality, British and fine dining food and make sure that you and your team create consistent high standards
• Delegate efficiently, and ensure a smooth and successful service at all times
• Cater for any occasion, including afternoon tea, private dining, buffets, weddings

Skills & Qualifications Desired:
• Great management qualities, able to run and make a happy kitchen brigade
• Real team player, cooperating with all other business managers/ directors and your brigade
• Thrives from and loves a challenge
• Be a well trained and qualified catering professional
• Passionate about cooking and a real desire to keep pushing/ developing in the kitchen
• Health and safety understanding, a great hygiene knowledge
• A great track record of employment, working with other successful multifunctional businesses and excelling in previous roles
