Senior Bookkeeper

My client, a leading accountancy practice based in South Oxfordshire, is currently recruiting for a Senior Bookkeeper. This role would suit a candidate with Bookkeeping experience, Sage 50 or Xero proficiency as well as willingness to learn new programmes.

The Role:

• Management of a client portfolio and meeting their deadlines
• Discussing as well as resolving questions and queries with clients
• Recording daily financial transactions
• Producing VAT Returns
• Bookkeeping using Sage and Xero
• Working with junior staff with their development and training

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bookkeeping experience, working in an accountancy practice is desired though not essential
• Sage 50 or Xero knowledge is essential.
• Knowledge of Sage One (Business Cloud Accounting) and Quickbooks would be useful
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to build good rapports with clients

The successful candidate would be entitled to a generous salary between £25-28k as well as a great holiday package. You would also join a friendly and pleasant working environment, with free on-site parking and flexible working hours (including lunchtime finish on Friday).
