Assistant Accountant

Our client are a small but very ambitious Accountancy Practice specialising in working with owner-managed cafes and restaurants to provide an outsourced finance function. Their business is growing rapidly, and they are now looking for a part qualified Accountant to join the team.

This will be a broad role providing general accounting services with a chance to develop as the company grows.

The role will include the following tasks for a range of clients:

• Monthly bookkeeping on Xero
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of annual statutory accounts
• Preparation of annual corporation tax returns
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Preparation of monthly payroll

They are ideally looking for someone:

• Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
• Experience of preparing statutory accounts and tax returns
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of Xero (ideal but not essential)

The role will be home based for the first 12-18 months. however access to the South Oxfordshire / Chilterns is required for meetings 2-3 times per month.
