Accounts Assistant

Our client a market leader within the private practice sector are seeking a part time Senior/Semi Senior Accounts Assistant. The available role is on a permanent basis and commencing immediately- flexible working hours 2/3 days per week. Lincoln location based, candidate must have own transport.
Please note the successful candidate must be confident in dealing with Profit and Loss Spreadsheets, Book Keeping and Tax Returns with previous experience in preparing accounts within an accountancy practise setting.
Role requirements
• Review of accounts at draft/trail balance stage for numerous small sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Resolving queries with staff and clients
• Finalising accounts and completing tax returns for online filing
• Forwarding to client with covering letter and fee
• Accounts preparation from start to finish may sometimes be required
• The review or preparation of regular bookkeeping/VAT & Payroll

Candidate Requirements
• Two years’ previous private practise
• AAT – Preferably level 4 or working towards
• Ability to use VT for accounts & VAT Returns
• Excel confident
• BTC for Tax Returns
• IRIS Payroll Professional (IPP)
