You’ll be leading from the front with a team of technicians to cover a wide range of sites, ranging from grade II listed properties to total new builds. The team you’ll be working with are a wide ranging of technicians with experience in fabric, plumbing, electrics and combustion. This will offer you a highly diverse day to day as you organise your team for different roles on different sites. This will give you the perfect opportunity to perfect your established supervisory and leadership skills, ensuring all projects are completed efficiently and to the expected quality.
You’ll be heading up the health and safety for all projects, ensuring your team know exactly what is expected of them. You’ll be managing all maintenance work, sometimes getting involved with work outside of your discipline, offering personal growth and a new opportunity. You’ll have further opportunities to develop yourself through “Responsible Person/Approved Person” training, improving your skills from your IOSH qualification.
To succeed in this role you’ll:
- Be confident leading a team and delegating tasks efficiently.
- Look to get yourself involved with any tasks to ensure they’re completed to a high quality with your NVQ level 3 knowledge.
- Have the administrative skills to maintain an effective site log book and handle contractors .
