Your role in the kitchen:

As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently outstanding food while supporting the day-to-day management of a busy, fresh food kitchen.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Running the kitchen confidently in the Head Chef's absence
  • Leading, motivating and training the kitchen team
  • Preparing and delivering high quality fresh food to exceptional standards
  • Supporting seasonal menu development and recipe costing
  • Managing stock control, ordering and reducing waste
  • Maintaining food safety, hygiene and compliance standards
  • Coaching and developing junior chefs
  • Ensuring consistency, quality and excellent service during every shift

  • Previous experience in a fresh food kitchen
  • Passion for cooking with quality seasonal ingredients
  • A positive and supportive leadership style

  • High standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation
