At Select Hospitality, we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sous Chef.  The client is a stunning traditional English Gastro-Pub serving a mix of traditional English dishes, Sunday roasts and private dinners.

I am looking for a strong passionate chef, who is used to working in a busy fresh food operation, someone with a passion for cooking everything from fresh daily.

The business is very popular with locals, regulars and destination customers, as well as business guests and private dining.

The successful applicant will get the opportunity to work across all sections in the kitchen, including  lunch, dinner & private functions.   The client is looking for a Sous chef who is happy working along side an award winning Chef Patron; being involved with menu direction and new dishes, team training & stocktakes, you will also get the opportunity to be heavily involved with the daily changing specials menu. 

The ideal candidate will come from a busy fresh food background, have a good understanding of menu writing & costing, stocktakes, full due diligence and be able to run the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to work a variety of shifts covering weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
