Import Operations Manager (European Road) - Permanent - Witham - £DOE + extensive benefits

We're proud to be working in partnership with one of the most well respected and fast growing freight forwarders in Essex. Seeking to recruit an experienced Import Operations Manager to oversee and lead the European overland operations team.

Extensive growth of the European services arm of the business means a recruitment drive to secure the best talent is in place - to continue growth of an already strong team of operations staff. As senior to this department, you will of course bring extensive knowledge of European overland cargo movements/ planning - both FTL & LTL.

Your day to day will see you utilise your natural coaching and mentoring skills internally - conducting regular reviews & appraisals to monitor and evaluate staff performance.
Your proven ability to develop key external relationships with customers, agents and suppliers will be essential.
Providing direct support to the European Director - your analytical skills will be important in providing and producing data to assess areas which require improvement/ attention.
You will be an integral part of implementing business/ new business plans - sharing weekly KPI's with teams and Manager - creating monthly reports and attending team and board meetings - always striving to offer best service, whilst maintaining focus on profitability.
Comprehensive understanding of company ISO/AEO systems is essential
