Category Buyer
Our client, a highly successful and established business based in Witney, require an experienced Category Buyer to join their busy and growing team. You will be reporting directly to the Commercial Head and will be responsible for all aspects of the category management process from market analysis, range planning, product development, supplier liaison and cost price negotiation.
The Role
• Proactively identify the needs of the market, sourcing products to then develop and then package them to market-leading standards
• Liaising with factories on pricing, product development, packaging, product safety standards and quality.
• Ensure the client is sourcing the best products to maximise return for the business, customers and the end user
• Monitor and identify slow moving and obsolete lines for clearance/special offers
The ideal candidate
• Experience in product purchasing and development is essential
• Experience with dealing with Far East suppliers is essential (Mandarin fluency is highly desirable)
• Strong IT skills (Proficient in Excel)
• Happy to learn and develop an interest in the nature of our client's business

The successful candidate a friendly team and will be entitled to a salary of between 30-40k (plus company bonus), though there could be scope for flexibility.
