Head of Boarding
Our client, a highly prestigious and respected institution in the education sector, has an exciting opportunity to join their establishment as an Head of Boarding.
In this busy and varied role, you will manage a number of residential houses across Oxford. You will manage a team of 18 staff members, ensuring the well-being of their students. The role is broken down into leadership and management, operations and facilities and student welfare.
The successful candidate will be entitled to a salary of £40-45k, 9 weeks holiday (please note, you will be required to be available on bank holidays, pensions scheme, free meals and a Cycle to Work scheme).
The Role
·Lead and manage a varied team to ensure excellence in the delivery of accommodation to students
·Draft and review all boarding documents annually with the Services Manager, including documents such as Sanctions, Staff Handbook, Sick Students and Guardian Handbook
·Take responsibility of complaints and concerns with Accommodation
·Be the primary contact for disciplinary incidents and report these to the Pastoral Principal and Principal
·Assist with the management of budgets and contribute to this
·Ensure First Aid, Food Hygiene, Fire training is all adhered too
The Ideal Candidate
·Previous experience in Residential/Accommodation Management is highly desirable
·Excellent record in middle or senior management, with evidence of ability to manage staff
·Understanding of safeguarding and student well being
·Excellent organisational and administrative skills
·Developed interpersonal and relationship building skills, with an ability to empathise
·Ability to prioritise and to be proactive
