select gave me the chance to prove myself

"I sent my CV to Select to apply for a job I had seen on the internet. Later that same day a consultant from Select called to discuss the kind of job that I was looking for. I was invited to the offices to register, even though it was supposed to be the consultant’s day off.

I was completely changing career but Select made me feel that they would find me a job doing what I wanted to do, whereas other agencies wouldn’t look past my current role. I was kept up to date with any new jobs that may be suitable for me and Select never tried to push me to go for anything I didn’t feel was right.

Within a few weeks of registering, Select had secured an interview for me with a local company. Select gave me lots of tips and encouragement and called me afterwards to see how I had got on. After a second interview I was offered the job which I accepted. Select asked me to pop into the office and see them before I started work and I was given some gifts for my desk as a congratulations – it was a lovely surprise!

I love my job and to be honest, without Select I don’t think I would be where I am today. If it wasn’t for Select giving me the chance to prove myself I would still be stuck in a job I hated rather than starting a career where I actually have a future.

I wouldn’t think twice about going to Select again if I needed to change jobs and I have recommended them to lots of friends. As far as I’m concerned they are the only recruitment agency worth calling."
