hospital was choc-a-block with eggs

Children in hospital over Eater had an egg-citing time thanks to the charitable efforts of the community.

Staff from recruitment agency Select became Easter bunnies for a morning as they dropped in to hand out eggs to youngsters at the QE2 Hospital.

The company, based in Stonehills, WGC, appealed to the community to donate chocolate eggs – with more than 200 flooding in.

On Thursday they delivered them to the hospital.  Executive Manager Sarah Bennett said: “We are absolutely delighted that we managed to collect over 200 eggs. Initially we imagined we would get around 100, so it is double our estimations.

“The community has been so kind in donating the eggs, and my office was full of them.

“At Select we are committed to working with the local community and trying to ‘give something back’ when we can.

“This appeal is a perfect example of this, and it is great to be able to bring pleasure to lots of deserving people!”
