At Select Appointments, we're skilled at recruiting medical secretarial and administration staff.

Providing support to doctors, healthcare professionals, and sometimes patients, requires strong communication skills and diplomacy, together with the ability to deal with high volume workloads and attention to detail. Our selection process is geared to sourcing candidates who are comfortable and proficient working in this environment.

As part of our recruitment process, candidates are thoroughly interviewed in person and references taken. Eligibility to work and proof of identity are confirmed for all temporaries. We use a variety of assessments including medical spelling skills, medical terminology, audio and copy typing. If applicable, CRB checks will be taken and criminal record investigations undertaken. Before commencing an assignment, candidates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire and to sign an NHS confidentiality declaration, where appropriate.

We work with AMSPAR - the Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists - as well as employing a variety of other candidate attraction methods such as advertising at our prime locations, on our own website and recognised job boards, and by actively encouraging candidate referrals.
