Induction

Our 5-day classroom based induction programme – known as the Training Camp is held in our specially designed “Virtual Office” at Select Group’s head office in Luton. This mirrors the surroundings in which new consultants will be working, allowing them to learn processes and explore techniques in a safe environment.

Each new employee returns to their office with a heightened sense of confidence and a significantly reduced gap between the theory of the classroom and practical application in the workplace. At the end of the week, Select Group’s CEO, Diane Martyn, personally presents the Graduation Certificates and awards the prize for “Student of the Week”.

The Training Camp marks the beginning of each consultant’s individual induction programme, which takes into account their prior experience, and is supported both centrally and locally in their office.

Our Induction programme is recruitment industry accredited and leads individuals to the completion of the REC Certificate in Recruitment Practice. Our Induction programme is supported by a range of intranet based self-paced modules that new employees work through, according to their needs and supported by their line manager or nominated colleagues.
